Early Help And Prevention

CACT’s Early Help & Prevention department incorporates multiple strands of work. These include CACT's traditional disability work, including the Charlton Upbeats Down's syndrome team and the Short Breaks programme delivered on behalf of the Royal Borough of Greenwich and the London Borough of Bexley.

The department also runs award-winning mental health initiatives alongside partners such as Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust and Kent and Medway NHS Trust, including Up & At 'Em for over 65s with a mental health diagnosis and Early Intervention in Psychosis.

CACT's mentoring programmes in South East London and Thanet also sit under the department, as do Kicks and Winter Ballers diversionary activities.

CACT also runs a counselling service on behalf of the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

The Early Help and Prevention strand has a wealth of experience with long-serving CACT staff delivering the vast majority of its initiatives.
