An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Charlton Athletic Community Trust Alternative Provision department (CACT AP), based in our New Romney centre working alongside The Marsh Academy. CACT AP delivers alternative education to learners who are excluded or are at risk of being excluded from mainstream education.
CACT is looking to appoint a Learning Mentor to work within an exciting PRU set up. The candidate will have some responsiblity for preparing and delivering support for lessons in all areas of the curriculum, helping to manage learner behaviour, and some administative duties, including taking registers and report writing. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring all students are supervised at all times.
The suitable candidate will have some previous teaching assistant experience. Training will be delivered by CACT AP and The Marsh Academy and the successful candidate will be require to undertake several courses including First Aid, Fire Safety and Safeguarding as well as being encouraged to enhance their own CPD.
