Walking Football with Ashley Maynard Brewer

Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) runs a variety of different programmes to improve men's health. From weekly social evenings to a health and fitness 12-week course, there is something for everyone.

 

Walking Football

Walking Football takes place at Eltham Goals on Tuesday mornings and Footscray Rugby Club on Thursday evenings.

Aimed at men aged 50+, Walking Football is a non-contact version of the game which helps to maintain a healthy lifestyle while also creating a social atmosphere that men from all walks of life can enjoy. Whether you've never played before, played when you were younger or had to stop due to an injury, Walking Football is a great way to get involved.

Cost: £4 a session or £15 a month

Tuesday morning session

Time: 10.30am - 11.30am

Location: Eltham Goals, Baldon Sports Ground, London, SE9 5LU.

Thursday evening session

Time: 6pm - 7pm

Location: CACT’s Astro pitch, entering via Footscray Rugby Club, Footscray Road, SE9 2EL.

Men's Social Evening

CACT's Men's Social Evenings run every Monday at The Valley. This group provides the opportunity for men to come together to build new relationships, connect with others and support one another in a fun, friendly and social way. The weekly group enjoy a variety of different activities from taking trips to local amenities like crazy golf, the cinema and even the local pub, to taking advantage of what Valley Central has to offer, including table tennis and pool.

Cost: Free

Day: Monday

Time: 7pm - 9pm
