National Citizens Service

National Citizen Service (NCS) is a way for 15-17 year olds living in England and Northern Ireland to make extraordinary friendships, learn the skills they don’t teach you in class and create unforgettable memories.

NCS takes place outside of term time in Spring, Summer and Autumn – and although each programme is slightly different they’re equally as amazing! There are plenty of dates to choose from, the dates of our upcoming programmes are below, so take you pick and get in touch!

By fast forwarding your future and signing up to NCS you get access to a programme consisting of the following four phases:

Phase 1 (Adventure)

In your first week you’ll live with your team at an outdoor activity centre, getting to know each other and experiencing the freedom of being away from home with new friends.

Phase 2 (Future)

Next up, reunite with your group to live away at university style accommodation, learning some huge life skills that make for a killer CV. You could find yourself meeting with organisations and important people from your community, learn about the issues facing them and develop new personal skills (teamwork, leadership and communication).

Phase 3 (Making a Difference)

Now put your skills and experience into practice as a team, agreeing on a social action project that will really make a mark on your local community.

Phase 4 (Graduation)

Once you’ve completed the programme, you're now part of the bigger NCS Family. Our grads have the chance to attend some of the greatest shows and events going and we’ll be constantly developing amazing ways to keep you involved with us, your community and with all of our fantastic partners.

Remember it all starts at YES…
