Charlton Athletics successful Women’s Academy still has places left for the next academic year.
In partnership with London Leisure College the Academy offers a wide range of A Level and BTEC Courses which allow girls aged 16 to 19 to combine their education with playing football. Additionally girls also have the opportunity to gain football coaching qualifications.

The Academy trains three times a week at the Charlton Athletic Training Ground in New Eltham and are coached by former England U21 International and Charlton Athletic midfielder Paul Mortimer. Scholars have the chance to play for the Charlton Academy team that plays in the British Colleges League against teams such as Chelsea and Arsenal. Players also have the opportunity to progress to play for the Charlton Women’s 1st and Reserve Teams in the FA Women’s Premier League.

In recent years a number of Academy players have progressed through to Charlton’s 1st team including skipper Katie Flack, Grace Coombs, Toni Alden and current player of the season Megen Lynch.
