Kim said it was great to back: "It means everything. It broke my heart leaving but I thought I had to do it for getting the best from my football. Coming back, hopefully I can re-ignite my football career."

Dixson, 22, is a local girl who came through the Charlton Girls Centre of Excellence and Women's Academy and is an avid Charlton fan.

She previously left the ‘Addicks to advance her career in the national division with Watford, a challenge, which we she was more than able to live up to but unfortunately injuries halted her progress:

"Playing against better players has improved me as a player, although I had a bit of a stop start season last year - playing in a better league, its a bit of a step up - the fitness levels are high."

Her heart still lies with the reds of South-East London and she is impressed with the current team:

"I get on well with Paul Mortimer, he's a class coach and ever since I came here he has always wanted the best for my football. I came to watch the girls last year. I think that we could have a really good season and push for promotion. I know all the girls are confident we can do really well."

The player still has ambitions to play at the highest standard:

"If we push for promotion, I'll want to stay in this team because we'll be playing in the league we want to play in."

Dixson has an eye for goal and can use both feet:

"Speaking to Paul I don't think the goals were spread around the team enough -  If  we can get on a scoring spree, I think we have got enough players who can get goals."

Dixson added her support to the success of the reserves last season:

"It's a good that the reserves got promoted it means the players playing against the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea will get better experience."
