KENT JUNIOR DISABILITY LEAGUE PRESENTATION NIGHT
Charlton were prominent at Saturday’s Kent Junior Disability League presentation night at Dartfordians Cricket Club, Bexley.
Charlton topped the Under-11 and Under-13 sections while their Under-16 teams finished fourth and sixth respectively.
Barry Simmons, Charlton Athletic Community Trust's Disabled and Mental Health Officer, said: "We've enjoyed another successful season, on and off the pitch, with all the teams doing well.
"We're already looking forward to next season, especially as we're introducing a new Under-16 team."
The Kent Junior Disability League is a small-sided, pan disability league which caters for youth players aged 8 to 16 years old. The league operates three age groups _ Under-11s, 13s and Under 16s.
Each age group is ability banded and operates a maximum four year age banding. The league is open to boys and girls.
The Football Association has granted dispensation to allow girls to play in the Under-11, Under-13 and Under-16 divisions in mixed gender teams.
Matches are played at Kicks Soccer Centre, Strood Leisure Centre, Watling Street, Strood, Rochester.
