Come and work on NCS this summer

Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) is looking for energetic, inspirational and motivated staff to work on the National Citizen Service (NCS) programme in Kent this summer.

With CACT set to deliver the summer 2018 programme to 900 young people, more than 100 staff members are needed in July and August in Dartford, Gravesend, Maidstone, Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells.

There are three types of role available for candidates with different levels of experience.

Successful applicants will have the chance to work for four to eight weeks to guide large groups of teenagers through their NCS experience. They will embark upon two residential trips and deliver a Social Action Project to benefit their local community.

The roles provide an opportunity to gain valuable experience of working with young people and help to give something back to your local community. CACT has delivered NCS to more than 1,500 15 to 17-year-olds since 2011.

Matt Cowlam, CACT’s NCS Programme Manager, said:

“Most of us here on the CACT NCS team started with one of these roles and it has given us a fantastic career opportunity that we would recommend to all”.
